Spotted on my bloglines: SMART, a new Indonesian mobile operator, will launch next month (link).
This time, it's Sinar Mas - another conglomerate. BTW, they have a captive market already... thousands (hundreds probably) of employees of the conglomeration group. If you equip all of them with mobile phones (compulsory, say, part of the benefit package...), well, voila. ARPU, of course, is another story.
Oya, they use CDMA2000 technology at the 1900 MHz spectrum. Lucky enough, they occupied the only spot that is not overlap with UMTS allocation.
